Description: A fire that apparently started in the basement of a Lawrence Park home quickly spread through the house the morning of April 30, charring most of the structure's interior. The fire was first reported at 6:31 a.m. at 166 LaSalle Ave. in Lawrence Park, a one-story yellow-brick home in a suburban neighborhood. Lawrence Park Police were first on the scene at 6:33 a.m. When officers entered the house, they said the basement was almost totally engulfed in flames.
